Lena Lim is an enthusiastic, dedicated, client-focused Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) with 13 years of diabetes experience. Lena has worked as diabetes educator with both adult and paediatric services in a large public tertiary hospital within the NSW Health. She was appointed a Clinical Nurse Consultancy Grade 2 role in 2015 until she resigned at the end of October 2025.

Having worked with both adults and paediatric clients, Lena is thus well placed in private practice to see these clients wishing to see a private diabetes educator.

Lena’s expertise in diabetes technology encompassing Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop (AHCL) systems, traditional insulin pump, smart pen, insulin dosing app and Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMs)

Lena’s area of expertise in diabetes education and self-management encompassing newly diagnosed or pre-existing Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes in both adults and paediatric clients, pre-diabetes, Gestational Diabetes (GDM), pancreatectomy induced diabetes and steroid induced hyperglycaemia.

Lena also has experience with very young children including prescription, initiation, stabilisation and education on the use of insulin dilution in AHCL system.

Lena has extensive experience working with people living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Pre-Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes with a proven track record of providing structured diabetes self-management education empowering individuals to effectively self-manage and to live well with their diabetes. She is a Certified Pump Trainer and experienced with Continuous Glucose Monitoring System.
