Dr Nicholas Shoung

Sydney Endocrinologist

Dr Nicholas Shoung is an Endocrinologist with a special interest in pituitary and adrenal disease, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, obesity and thyroid disorders. He holds an honorary appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney for the purpose of research and is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales.

Dr Shoung has completed a Bachelor of Science (Major in Biomedical Science) at the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Griffith University. He worked as a junior medical officer at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital, before completing Endocrinology specialist training between Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.

He attends conferences in diabetes and endocrinology annually and is committed to providing evidence-based care, building strong relationships and working with patients to improve their health.

Dr Shoung is not taking new patients at this time.

He is currently on extended leave completing a masters and thesis in type 2 diabetes remission in Paris.
