Dr Flavia Bueno is an Endocrinologist with special interest in female hormonal issues, PCOS, obesity, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, post cancer treatments and general endocrinology.

Dr Flavia Bueno is a highly skilled endocrinologist with a special interest in supporting women’s health through all stages of life. Her areas of expertise include menopause, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), weight management, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Dr Bueno completed her Endocrinology training overseas in 2002. She moved to Australia in 2008 and undertook specialist training in Sydney. She enjoys working with all aspects of endocrinology and has special interest in Women’s Health, such as, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Menopause and Menstrual Irregularities. Part of her training was done at The Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, and she has been a visiting doctor at female endocrinology department of Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Dr Bueno remains involved with research on PCOS and Obesity and works as a Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology, at the Western Sydney University.

Dr Bueno is an active member of the Australian Menopause Society.

With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, Dr Bueno works closely with her patients to provide tailored treatment plans that address both short-term concerns and long-term wellbeing. She is passionate about helping women navigate hormonal changes, improve quality of life, and reduce future health risks.

Dr Bueno values clear communication and a holistic view of care, ensuring her patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey. Dr Bueno is available for consultations at our North Sydney rooms and Wahroonga rooms. She is also accredited at the Mater Hospital in North Sydney.

Dr Bueno balances her work and teaching commitments with a busy family life and remains a passionate advocate for all women’s causes.
