Dr Jodie Landstra is a highly experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience as a psychologist and over 20 years specialising in the psychological impact of chronic health conditions.
Jodie consults in Wahroonga and North Sydney, welcoming referrals from GPs, medical specialists and patients seeking psychological support while managing medical conditions of Diabetes, Cancer, Heart disease, Heart or Lung Transplants, amputation or the loss of a limb, Obesity, or Stroke.
Jodie's extensive experience helps her understand the challenges of managing diabetes, cancer, organ transplantation or limb loss affect far more than physical health. These experiences can bring uncertainty, emotional distress, changes in identity and significant lifestyle adjustments. Her approach focuses on helping people build psychological resilience so they can continue to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Jodie works collaboratively with patients to clarify their values, goals and motivations, supporting lasting change that comes from within. Jodie uses a range of techniques including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and motivational interviewing to help them better manage their health, behaviour and emotions while living a fulfilling vibrant life.
Dr Jodie Landstra works collaboratively with GPs, endocrinologists and other medical specialists to support patients who may be struggling with the psychological aspects of chronic illness or complex medical treatment.
